About Me and the Blog

Welcome to my blog of wandering.

As read in the sidebar, I am many things. One thing I am NOT representing on this blog, however, is anything or anyone but myself and my own observation and views. This is a disclaimer in that respect. THIS IS A PERSONAL BLOG (I say this, only because of previous requests--political arguments can get heated here). If you want to see more professional writing of mine, look elsewhere.

This blog was created in 2009 to accompany travels and working around Europe and the Middle East. Since then, the blog has grown to include stories of diverse numbers of cultures and the problems, blessings, and challenges they face. There is no specific bent, only the bent that a particular geography and environment affects upon me. Let's face it; "concepts" get old. I hope you are just along for the ride as much as I am. I'll try not to talk about my "feelings" too much, as in other masturbatory blogs.

I find that certain themes do run through the work, namely culture, politics, poverty, economics, war, and the exotic. Its a travel blog for the constant wanderer, regardless of whether that wanderer is at home, at work, or abroad. Geography does not affect the traveler, so much as the state of mind.

As some are men of constant sorrow, others like myself are women of many nations.

He was a man of many nations

Had a hundred souls and a hundred to go
He was a man of many nations
Two hearts, two hands, it's a slippery slope
He had a fear of being naked
But you're any other man in another man's clothes
He was a man of many nations
With revelations, oh revelations
He wrote a book about the Bible
He wrote a book about men in the sky
He wrote a book about the smell of the winter and then two...
A little less simple to decipher
Saying "I am the water at the foot of the palms,
Or I am sand and wind, and a shitty mirage,
But either way, I'm a man of many nations!"
